This site has a steep slope with several piles of obsidian. Within the volcanic area of Monte Arci the territory of Pau is the only one that has yielded substantial archaeological finds providing evidence of prehistoric stone knapping in the same area where obsidian was quarried. A large area at Sennixeddu has revealed substantial piles of obsidian and chips from obsidian working, on an area of more than 20 ha. Traces of a possible human settlement have been found about 350 m from the Sennixeddu obsidian working area.
