Porto La Cruzitta owes its name to the cross, which stands on top of a rock as a memorial to the dead of the revolution that tried to drive away the House of Savoy. The small isolated beach, lying within a little bay, is wedged between typically pink trachytic rocks and lapped by a limpid multi-coloured sea. The shore has a sea bottom with different sized variegated pebbles with rocky outcrops and cliffs.
