Nelson is a band of powdery white sand. The surrounding plant life is exceptionally rich and varied. The presence of small bays, crystal-clear water and a Mediterranean scrub that reaches almost to the sea makes this one of the most fascinating corners of the coast.
Starting from Palau take the road heading to Punta Sardegna. You will reach the Monte Altura fortress. Driving down from Monte Altura turn right onto a dirt road that reaches the small beach.
There is a small unsurfaced parking area at the back of the beach. The beach is very quiet and especially suitable for diving and snorkelling, in a stretch of coast with utterly transparent water, ideal for sighting the varied fish and plant life on the seabed.
