From west to east along the northern coast
The pink caravan will pass through Sassari, a city of art an culture, the regional capital of north Sardinia, and travel to the Asinara Gulf, to Castelsardo, a medieval town on the sea. After Badesi and Costa Paradio, it will ride into Gallura, in the dreamy landscapes of Santa Teresa Gallura: from the Valley of the Moon to Rena Bianca, overlooking a priceless sight, the archipelago of the Maddalena. The group will continue on to Palau, under the Roccia dell'Orso, and skirting the exclusive paradise of the Costa Smeralda. From here the arrival in Olbia can be glimpsed, with the award of the first pink jersey. The “happy town” opens onto a turquoise bay and dazzling beaches: it is the Tavolara marine area, the imposing island in front of San Teodoro. The group will be welcomed by the Basilica of San Simplicio and the archaeological museum lit in pink. Local specialities, accompanied by vermentino will mark the end of the stage.
