The beach is found at Capo Coda Cavallo, in the commune of San Teodoro. It has extremely fine light-coloured sand, with shades verging on grey. Its secluded shores lie on the southern side of Capo Coda Cavallo, between the Monica and Tamaricciu headlands. The beach is often covered with washed-up posidonia and opens onto a wonderful panorama, enhanced by the presence of the reddish granite rocks of the Ruia Island, and its limpid blue and green waters. A marshy area lies behind the beach: This is of considerable interest for the wildlife found here, like the stilt-walkers and other waterfowl, who live in damp and swampy areas.
