A sneak preview
Rena Majori is found at Rena Majore, in the commune of Aglientu. The beach has extremely fine light-coloured sand, surrounded by granite rocks. Crossed by the Rio Cantaru and by the Rio Ciuchesa, the lengthy beach of Rena Majori, which is always peaceful and sheltered, is characterised by a stretch of extremely fine sand, surrounded by dunes covered with vegetation and strewn with dark rocks in the midst of a turquoise crystalline sea. The pine grove behind the beach provides a quiet cool shady place to stay in the heat of the summer days.
How to get there
It is reached from the SP 90, towards Santa Teresa Gallura. From Rena Matteu, once past the entrance, take the turning to the left for about 500 m.
Useful information and services
The gently sloping sandy bottom and the characteristics of the beach make it particularly good for swimming and for children to play. It has a large car park and a camp site.
Beach umbrellas, deckchairs, “patinos” and other boats are available for hire. The variegated seabed with its wealth of fish is a great favourite with scuba-divers and snorkelling enthusiasts.
