A sneak preview
Lu Impostu is found at Capo Coda Cavallo, in the commune of San Teodoro. The beach has extremely fine-grained light-coloured sand, with twinkling reflections and a number of rocky outcrops.
The large beach stretches for a few kilometres and is bordered to the north by Capo Capicciolu, which separates it from Cala Brandinchi. It has extremely fine shining sand with transparent waters. The dunes covered with junipers, wild lilies and sea-thistles are of great natural interest, as well as the lagoon which lies behind. This is joined to the sea and is the second largest in the area, after that of San Teodoro.
How to get there
It is reached from the SS 125 in the direction of Siniscola and, turning left at kilometre 295 for Marina di Lu Impostu. It can also be reached on foot from the Cala Brandinchi car park.
