Su Giudeu

A sneak preview
Su Giudeu is one of the very famous beaches that look out onto the bay of Chia, that also includes the Spiaggie Colonia, Porto Campana and S’Acqua Durci.
It is joined to the beach of S’Acqua Durci, with which it shares the marvellous colours of the transparent waters of changing shades and the white of the sand.
The name comes form the octopus that swims in the waters around a couple of rock-cliffs - also known as Su Giudeu - reached from the shore by swimming or on foot across a stretch of particularly shallow water.

How to get there
Go along the panoramic SS 195 main road, characterised by the numerous turnings down towards to the various beaches in the area, and upon reaching Su Giudeu, it is necessary to follow the signposts on the left that point to the beach.

Useful information and facilities
It has many facilities: it has a large car park, hotel, cafe, restaurant and campsite, and the shallow waters let children play freely. It is much loved by scuba fishing enthusiasts or by those wishing simply to dive.
