Password: mines. This the access key to the territories of Sulcis and Iglesiente, whose landscape has been substantially modified by the intense mining activity that had characterised the area for many a year, leaving traces of what is known as manufacturing archaeology.

However, characterising the vast lowland of the Campidano are expanses of grain fields with their warm, intense colours, that going toward the south are replaced by fragrant orchards with enclosures of eucalyptuses and cypresses. Interesting archaeological and historical-artistic finds, such as the marvellous Romanesque church of Santa Maria di Uta are also found contained within this area.
