Where the harsh mountain joins with a sea of rare transparency, embracing the coast between Budoni and Marina di Orosei, we found ouselves in the Baronie. A trip into a magical land whose invitations are the sceneries painted along the coastal zone, from the magnificent beach of Budoni going along the coast of Posada, dominated by the calcareous spur upon which the town and its Castle of Fava stand, with the main tower from which it is possible to admire an unique vista, as far as the soft dunes of Capo Comino, modelling huge mounds up to 10 metres in height.

More to the south, the profiles of the coast of Orosei jut out, with emerald sea and golden sand, but also a historical town enriched by its medieval church of Sant'Antonio Abate. The magic of these places also originates from the silent nuraghi that testify to the history of its ancient settlements, such as the nuraghe Conca 'e Bentu in the area of Budoni, that also entertains the pleasant tourist harbour of Porto Ottiolu. Its coasts are made ever more evocative by the stretches of water produced by the Rio Posada in the north (the longu pond of Posada) and by the Rio Cedrino in the south (Mouth of the Cedrino and Petrosu pond), and its ancient suburbs preserve the charm that has inspired the words and the colours of great artists such as Grazia Deledda’s ‘Galtellì’ and Mario Delitala’s ‘Torpè’.
