Sardinian skinkThe Sardinian skink belongs to the genus Chalcides ocellatus, present in Africa, western Asia and in Greece, but belongs to the tiligugu subspecies, confined to Sardinia, Sicily and Maghreb. It is a reptile that can reach 30 cm in length, of which almost half is made up by the tail.

Wild boarThe wild boar is found throughout the Sardinian territory, in the mountainous and flat areas. It is characterized by a strong, stumpy build with a thick coat made up of long bristles. It is especially crepuscular and nocturnal.
Golden eagleThe specimens of golden eagle are found in almost all the mountainous areas of Sardinia, especially in the pastures at high quota, rich in rocky environments. They elegantly circle in the sky, slightly holding their wings forward.
The Sardinian deerThe endemic species of the Sardinian deer resides in the natural area of the Arburese, the Sarrabus and the Sulcis. It is smaller when compared with the European deer: the male rarely reaches a weight of 130 kg.
White donkey The small white donkey of Asinara is an albino variant of the more common Sardinian donkey (Equus asinus). This albino variant of the donkey lives in small numbers on the island of Asinara and in the State forest of Porto Conte.
