BottargaBottarga
Bottarga is a gastronomic specialty produced from the eggs of mullet or tuna pressed, salted and dried, you use it as an appetizer or to season pasta. Bottarga production takes place in the period of reproduction, that goes on from the first week of September up to the end of October in Sardinia.
Catfish
Catfish is a fish that lives in the Mediterranean Sea and it is characterized for his "caress." The catfish, fished in the seas of Sardinia, is typically used to cook very tasty dishes.
Lobster
Lobster is a shellfish (Palinurus vulgaris) of a purplish red colour that lives and reproduces on the rocky shores of the sea, feeding itself on molluscs. Some kinds of lobsters such as that of the Mediterranean are deprived of claws, others such as the Atlantic species have them very well developed; its tentacles act as sensors.

In Sardinia there are different kinds of mullet in the waters around Sardinia, (Mugil Cefalus), they all have in common a long, strong body and are covered in scales.

TunasTuna
Tuna is a rather big fish, characterized by bluish back, silvery sides and greyish abdomen. For the blue-silver complexion and for the fact that it lives in big schools where the sea is blue, it is called blue fish.
