Village of shadows
The village was the birthplace of the writer Giuseppe Dessì, (Strega Prize for “The Forests of Norbio”), and nowadays is an extremely interesting cultural and tourist centre. Villacidro is to be found in a region characterised by majestic mountain ranges, extensive woods and several streams spawning brooks and waterfalls.
Sa SpendulaAt about a kilometre from the inhabited centre of Villacidro, the Sa Spendulaù area is visited every year by hundreds of visitors, who come to admire the spectacular waterfall where the Rio Coxinas takes its final plunge.
