Tempio Pausania

The Railstation, Tempio Pusania
The indisputable kingdom of granite
The historical centre of Tempio Pausania is an important site in the Gallura area for mining and the working of cork and granite. It is capital with Olbia of the Province with the same name and typically has buildings of granite blocks, with an architectural style closely resembling that of towns in Southern Corsica.
NuchisNurchis is a small hamlet of Tempio Pausania at about 500 m above sea level, located within a dense cork tree wood adorned by spectacular granite rocks. It was founded around the year one thousand and in 1971, obtained the status of an autonomous commune, which it then lost after a substantial population decrease.
